I had a glimmer of hope that with this latest update (1.21.3.4014), normal library ordering would be back, but the same sort by library type remains.
Thanks Plex for breaking my library order as well.
To anyone who says âYou can reorder manuallyâ - yes, you used to be able to do this. But Plex now seems to have a bug where even manual reordering does not stick. I just manually reordered my libraries alphabetically. But only the order of some libraries is âsavingâ - others keep jumping back to some arbitrary BS order that Plex wants. I have tried it 4 times in the past hour, and every time - certain libraries do no stay where I place them. Using Windows 10, latest Firefox browser.
This always worked before. I have done this countless times when adding new libraries, so I am not a n00b.
Why they donât simply offer âsort alphabeticallyâ, I donât know.
Edit - have just read the rest of this thread, and can see Plex is imposting Type > Name, as the method of ordering, which probably explains my experience. And I agree with everyone, itâs just wrong that this was imposed on the system without offering a way to switch it off and simply sort alphabetically.
