Not sure if you have had request for this before or not, but her it goes. (I did search but found nothing)
I am using mymovies (www.mymovies.dk) for my collection management on my WHS2011 and installed plex server on my server as well, but i does not pull any info i already have. Is there any way to pull this info from the folder. fan art, box cover, info, ect...
or is their anyway to make a plug in for their metadata service (Must be a member to use)
I just got a Roku2 XS and found this program and they work awesome together, only need to get the data to convert over.
They are not comparable. MYMovies.dk use a different method than Plex uses. It would be awesome if they could make a change to use that data also. My movies collection management is the best one I have so far and it integrates into WMC perfectly. And therefor do not wish to change. It would be sweet if the could get with the devs at my movies.dk and collaborate together to make them work with each other also my movies by far have the best and most complete metadata server I have found. It is being updated daily by members and it's all free.
I should probably create a new topic, but this is also the info I was looking for. MyMovies does a great job of identifying sources and providing metadata, Plex not so much.
I'm going to post a new topic to try to resurrect this. Plex and MyMovies should play better together.
