myPlex REST API docs

With a few friends we share our Plex Media Servers amongst each other so we can watch/stream TV Shows and Movies but most of the time we don't know if someone has the movie or show we're looking for.

 

I want to build a little web client that fixes that but in order to do that I need access to their Plex Media Servers. I was looking for a set of docs about the myPlex service to see if I can build on top of that but apart from some random code samples on the net I can't find anything.

 

So, are there docs somewhere and if not, is the source code of myPlex (API) accessible somewhere so I can work based off that?

I am working on something similar, trying to combine all the shared lists into a single list by genre/type have you come up with anything on this?
