I’ve spent a lot of time searching and trying to find where to extract the API from Plex, only to realize that there’s no official, directly generated API available. If there is, it seems to be only for certain projects and is quite complex. As a non-professional, dealing with such complicated matters is frustrating. I’ve looked at the APIs for Emby and Jellyfin, and their official APIs are straightforward and easily accessible. As a permanent Plex user, I’m astonished that there seems to be no equivalent in Plex. I’m not sure if I’m missing something or if there’s an issue elsewhere, but this has been a disappointing experience.The lack of clear, accessible documentation for this has been a significant hurdle.This situation is forcing me to consider switching to Emby or Jellyfin instead.
