My PC that I use as a server is on its last legs and I’m looking to replace it, most likely with a NAS drive. I’m wondering if any of you could give a bit of advice please.
The majority of the time we watch on one of three Roku 3 boxes around the house but occasionally on an android mobile, iPhone and iPad. My media is in a million different formats so rely on transcoding quite often. I have approx 2tb of video content at present and that will likely grow. Currently have nothing capable of streaming 4k content but that may change in the future so I would like something capable of handling that if possible.
I currently have a Plex pass and occasionally watch video/ listen to music outside the house
Basically I am looking for the most cost effective option which I think is setting up my server ilon a Nas but I’m really not sure.
