NAS Server and playing on Fire Stick

Server Version#: PlexMediaServer-1.19.3.2764-ef515a800-x86_64
Player Version#: 8.0.0.17276

If I add a new user to my Plex and share my libraries from my Synology NAS and we change the settings to match other existing fire sticks then it transcodes the files . This puts quite a bit of pressure on CPU on the NAS with it running at 80-90% compared with when only direct play fire sticks are accessing when it runs at 20%

I have one friend who has been using his fire stick for while and has updated to new version and his fire stick is still behaving the way it should as i am assuming when he has upgraded his existing settings have passed over

The 2 most recent additions for fire stick we have set to the same settings but they transcode

Any idea what the missing setting is

UPDATE : If we start it playing then pause it and go to the ellipsis and change the setting to play original it stops the transcoding. It seems that when it starts to play something it is ignoring the settings

Check the video settings in the Plex app. Adjust Automatically = Off, Local & Remote bandwidth = maximum.

Also check H.264 max level. Default is 5.1 or 5.2. Some Plex app releases had a bug and it was set to an incorrect level, which forced transcoding. This should be fixed in the 8.x releases, but double check anyway.
