Hey guys, quick thing I noticed. I have PlexConnect up and running on my ATV3. Some videos are working, some aren't, it's still a work in progress (another thread). However, something I noticed when I got frustrated and clicked back to the menu of the native Apple TV screen. When I try to start up anything with an internet connection like ESPN, HBO, ABC, etc, it just spins and spins saying "Accessing _____" and then finally says that it cannot and try again. Then, once I got back to my DNS settings and put it back to auto (back to original unchanged DNS), it all works fine. Go back and change the DNS, try and nothing works? Is this normal? Nothing is changed on my computer end (iMac 2.5 ghz, always running, never off, running PMS 0.9.8). Any suggestions? Thanks
Maybe you have issues accessing googles DNS server 8.8.8.8 that is within the settings.cfg file.
Change this to your router or the DNS of your ISP, restart plex connect and try again
I am experiencing degradation of video quality on the ESPN and NBA apps while Plex Connect is active…the server is an older Mac Mini.

Might happen... as with using DNS 8.8.8.8 you might grab that stuff from the wrong side of the earth. This can result in long latencies and low usable bandwidth. :-D
Try modifying PlexConnect's DNS_master from Google to the one provided by your ISP.
I tried to change the DNS in settings to Comcast provided 75.75.75.75, but now whenever I launch terminal I get this and cannot do anything
login(346,0x7fff72bc9310) malloc: *** error for object 0x7ffb73c0b2e0: pointer being freed was not allocated
