hey, I just bought a new Apple TV 3 today... and I honestly have NO idea how to set any of this up...
I have read millions of sites that give me directions on what to do, and i just literally fail everytime...

If it doesnt work then then as said in the previous comment report the issues that you are having using the format.
Took me a while to get my apple tv going but as soon as you do it is great. Just make sure you report errors as they want.
I second what joshuamc wrote. Follow the guide and report the errors.
On the other hand, make sure that you have a Plex Media Server running and if not make sure you follow the Plex Media Server install procedures first.
