Plex Web, or App Shows a Notification for a Newly Released Episode
Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but I know I can go weeks without realising a new episode is out for my currently watched series. It would be awesome if Plex/Web looked at your collection (or maybe just On Deck) and checks to see if there are any new episodes released within the last 6 days that you do not have. The app could even do this when you go into a tv series or season and it alerts you "Episode 11 Season 3 of the Walking Dead is now Available.". Surely the TVDB or something has the air dates for future episodes and you can grab that or something?
Yeh I know, I have looked into SickBeard, Saznb and CouchPotato for my Unraid server but didn't really like the look of them (I installed them but couldn't figure out how to setup everything etc). I also prefer to manage everything myself but often I miss when episodes are being realised or seasons are starting again :(
I also don't want to torrent directly on my server. And I never got into RSS feeds.
Sickbeard can send notifications to plex server. You dont need to use the download system if you dont want to you can just set it up that it will grab an nzb but not point it to a download application so nothing happens with it.
