Feature Request: New Episode Notification

Hi guys,

Plex Media Server has changed the world of my media. I watch a lot of different tv-series. It is kind of hard for me to catch up, if a new episode of one of the tv serie is released.

Therefore it would be amazing, if the plex give me a notification, that this tv-serie is outdated or that new content would be available. Also it would be nice, if you get setup this for a specific country and language.

In Example: I have all episodes of The Walking Dead until season 7.

I want to get an info, that there are new episodes of walking dead for my specific language (german).

I don’t know, if this is possible with all the online libaries, but I can not handle my media anymore. I am outdated and have to search manually, which seasons are available.

Also I want to hear the community opinion on that. Thanks.

This would be a fantastic addition to the capabilities of Plex. Like Hilbekale, I use Plex to keep track of TV Shows that I’ve watched and which ones I’m currently watching. However, there’s no real way for me to know when new episodes are available, at least from within Plex. I have to remember to go check IMDB to see if and when new episodes will be airing. Could you add a feature to Plex to notify when new episodes have aired or been released?
