I'm hoping the Plex team will develop a "my list" feature similar to Netflix. For example I travel a lot, and as my wife and I flip through movies I will see movies I would like to watch later (when I'm traveling) that she never wants to watch with me. I would like to select the movie and add/save it to my list or list of movies I've lined up to watch later. I think it would be perfect for Plex and to take it one step further be able to create a couple lists and name them for kids, spouse etc.
Sounds good to me I'll try to look it up.
So I tried this and it looks like playlist is only for music. I messed with Plex web and honestly its not easy if it is for movies. In face the only time I saw the playlist icon on the left was when I first got into Plex and then it goes away if you try hit the home button. I also tried to add a movie to a playlist when selecting the movie or in the movie options. Is this supposed to work for movies and if so why has no one put on a simple picture walk though of how to do it? FYI I did look at the feed "How do I create a playlist" and that one pic doesn't work and it's also music being shown.
What am I missing?
If you are on the Home page (reached by clicking the "House" icon) where your libraries are listed on the left, you aren't at a point where you can add items to playlists.
I don't have a lot of movies, but it appears that playlists works the same for movies and music.
Your movies are probably in a "Movies" library. If you go to that library, where you see all your movies, hover the mouse over the movie, click the "..." menu, and select "Add to Playlist."
Hope that helps.
