New install of High Sierra, Plex Server only shows "PLEX" in safari

I just completed a brand new install of both High Sierra and Plex and for some reason, in Safari when I try to open either Plex or the preferences Plex is just giving me a single black background page with big-size font saying “PLEX”.

I have tried rebooting everything and reinstalling Plex. But the above issue is consistent.

Out of nowhere, MacOS wanted to do an upgrade, which I did and now it works. This issue is resolved.
