New Installation of Plex constantly buffering

Server Version#: Version 1.14.1.5488
Player Version#: Plex for LG 1.80.1 / webOS 3.3.0

I have recently upgraded my Intel NUC i3 Gen 3 to the latest gen Intel NUC i8. The NUC has served as my PMS for at least 5 years without issue, however, i upgraded to to the NUC have over heating issues.

I have done a clean installation of PMS, however, virtually everything I watch buffers. This is on two separate Plex clients on two different TVs.

One of the TVS is hard wired and the other is wireless so I don’t think this is a network issue.

Things I’ve tried:

  1. I have changed my client so it uses insecure connections
  2. Disabled Windows Defender real time protection
  3. Disabled “Large Send Offload (LSO)”

When the video is buffering memory and CPU usage on the PMS is less than 30% so don’t see this as a machine capacity issue.

Here is a server log file: Plex Media Server.2.log (5.0 MB)

Can anyone think of anything else i can try or have missed?

I’ve also changed my transcoder settings. See this for current config

Does this happen with all file types? I.e. different format, codecs?

Having the same exact issue. One of my servers was fine until I just restarted it. Now both are pretty much refusing to output anything more than 3mbps remotely. Additionally, the new dashboard shows the outputted bit rate going from 0 to 3 every other second.
A temporary workaround that somewhat works is setting the player to automatic quality but it is super frustrating.

Yes (I’ve tested with h264 and mpeg2)

@just_joshin for best support I’d suggest you start your own thread even though it may appear as the same issue it may not be.

@adaniels99 Also try setting your client “manual server” and see if it makes any difference.
