New Mac desktop app is an energy hog

While watching a movie my macbook pro start heating up. Not used to that watching Plex. I switched to the web player and saw the energy usage drop down dramatically.

I know it is just a new version, but this is for me a show stopper. Please fix.

Love the work you do. A very happy customer/user.

Agreed. On my MacBook Air (previous, 2015 model), the Plex app consumes 40-70% CPU during playback of 1080p content. This is on top of other processes like QTWebEngineProcess, WindowServer, kernel_task all spiking at the same time. The fan runs maxed out and I can hear it with headphones on. Switching back to Plex Web immediately lowers CPU usage and the fan shuts down a few seconds later.
