For two years I have been fighting with a plex problem. When I log into ANY of my Web, TV, Desktop app plex instances, the videos it shows as being “Most recently added” are now 2 years ago. So it’s decided that my plex server is stuck forever 2 years ago.
But alas, I can fix it … if I clear the cache, clear the cache of the plex server .. it will allow me to see my newly uploaded content… for about 4 - 6ish hours. Then we’re back to 2 years ago.
I did pay for the lifetime plex pass, so perhaps they’ve decided they want to punish people who don’t pay monthly.
To be clear, i’ve tried clearing the cache on the desktop, and on the browser, and on the tv, i’ve tried uninstalling the tv, and then clearing the cache on every computer and laptop and phone and tablet in the house, then clearing the server.
Only clearing the cache on the server works, but only for a short period of time, and then back to only allowing content uploaded 2 years ago.
Just to be clear, i keep referring to 2 years ago. It was always a static 2 years… this has been happing for 2 years, it was that moment in time that the library froze, and it keeps going back to, i’ve been dealing with this problem for 2 years now and that time window keeps getting bigger.
Also, I run the plex app on Truenas, it is up to date.
