The new app is completely broken

(1) LiveTV freezes the entire UI for a very long time - favorites for LiveTV now are just server by server specific where it used to aggregate favorites into one list for multiple servers. I have no idea why we lost so much functionality in the new app while also; its completely broken to have the app freeze completely when accessing liveTV – it makes it unusable
(2) Downloads needs a lot of work
(a) we need ability to sync / download playlists again especially given how poor the rest of the downloads management is (I.e. one item at a time to select to download or a season without regard to watch status)
(b) YOU CANNOT have the display of downloads be one long playlist - its impossible to utilize this app with downloads all being in one long list. The downloads section needs the same library view as the regular library. I have no idea who signed off on this new downloads view as its really insanely bad
(c) Download quality options of high / medium / low are unacceptable. We need the specific information / options we had before to be able to choose proper transcode cut offs. I need to have ability to limit transcoding to different levels so that im not transcoding all content etc. — this worked great in the old app and then we just got rid of it in the new app.
(3) Customization options are incredibly poor now - the developers need to look back to the old apps to see the user experience there and implement similar functionality in the new app. I can’t believe how little we took of the old apps when implementing the changes into the new app.

Various features lacking - especially the downloads list - that show the app wasn’t really ready and someone forced it to roll out to some deadline (“well deadline looming and downloads have to be managed somehow - guess we’ll have to just make it a list!”. I can’t imagine they thought they must have a fresh new look to make more money - the original application was getting so great, stable, and feature rich - don’t mind a makeover but functionality is needed.

Different views are needed too in playlist views - tiles AND list view with more options.

Trend toward non-specifics like low medium high quality are aggravating - I’ve seen a lot of apps do this or not have quality choices at all. It’s actually harder to make an algorithm to do low/med/high than just expose the details - but not everyone is a power user… so just put low/med/high quality in parentheses next to the detailed options! Or have a details toggle in settings for managing downloads. Or something…

I really hope the new application gets as functional and nice as the original one soon! Thank you, this is a good list as some people are just complaining and not citing specifics which doesn’t help.

Unfortunately I cannot take credit for these suggestions since I plagiarized them from checks notes the old plex app.

I am not even asking for new features or something we have never had before - just some basic level stuff we had before lol
