The new Movies & TV On Plex displays fine on my iPhone, iPad Pro but on my Apple TV 4k all I get is an error saying Movies & TV is Currently unavailable and if I click on Retry Connection all I get is the error message screen being replaced with a grey screen requiring rebooting of my Apple TV 4k to bring it back to normal. Any ideas why it won’t display ?

I’m not sure how a tool for transferring playlists from iTunes to other online services could have any association with my problem. Can you please explain.
I did some further testing and found that Plex TV & Movies shows up fine on another Apple TV 4k I gave my mum. Both hers and mine were bought at the same time, the only difference is I have upgraded to latest version of Plex. I then thought it may be a firewall issue so went back to my Apple TV and switched user to my mum’s account. Surprisingly Plex TV & Movies shows up fine when logged in as mum thus ruling out firewall issues. Switched back to my account and once again Plex TV & Movies can’t connect. Given I’ve ruled everything else out all I can think is there must be some setting I’ve missed, but I can’t find it. Any advice on where to look.

It’s device-specific for me: works on iPhone, doesn’t work on Apple TV 4K. Same (primary) account in both cases. Can’t even cast to it.
Try deleting the Plex app from the AppleTV, then power cycle the AppleTV, reinstall app and try again.

Another device-specific issue, I noticed that the movie selection is different via search on an iPad Pro vs iPhone, same account. I had to cast from the phone to the iPad to carry on with the movie I was watching.
I’ll test the Apple TV app reinstall and report back.
Thanks darcilicious. I uninstalled Plex and re-downloaded a fresh version. I forgot to reboot after deletion but it didn’t seem to matter since now I can at last view Movies & TV by Plex on my Apple TV 4k.
