New Plex 1.01 PMS crashes immediately on startup!

So I updated today like I normally do (via plex web remotely) but I noticed PMS did not come back up on its own like it normally does. So I checked my machine remotely, tried to download the new PMS manually and install, but every time I launch PMS it crashes immediately…HELP!

(Mac OSX 10.8)

Last few logs attached…

Shew…managed to go back to the previous version (1.002260) and all is running well again…

Where did you download the previous version?

Could you also provide plex media server none crash logs

I downloaded the non-plex pass version…

Where do I get those? Are they different from what I attached previously?

For Mac
~/Library/Logs/Plex Media Server/

https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200250417-Plex-Media-Server-Log-Files

Well crap, it looks like they all got overwritten when I went back to the previous version…

I would download from the website, stop the Plex server, then run the update manually. If it crashes again, you’ll have the logs.

Please provide full current logs so we can see what happens. Attaching everything in a zip file is perfectly acceptable.

Thank you.

OK when I get some down time this weekend I will do the update again…

1.0.1.2396-c094d0d also crashes on startup on my Mac Mini with Mac OS X 10.8.5.

Exception Type: EXC_CRASH (SIGABRT)
Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000

Application Specific Information:
*** Terminating app due to uncaught exception ‘NSInvalidArgumentException’, reason: ‘-[NSProcessInfo operatingSystemVersion]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x7f831a802f20’
abort() called

I’ve attached the only log file in ~/Library/Logs/Plex Media Server/ and the .crash log file.

Thanks for them. I have forwarded this to the folks who are familiar with macs. I am a Linux guy

hey guys , thanks for the reports and logs. the server guys are looking into it

Any help on this one? I’m getting the exact same error message in my logs. Same thing, updated as normal from Plex Pass channel and now PMS crashes immediately on startup. Exact same log entry, also running Mac OSX 10.8.5.

Attaching Crash file.

Thanks to all for the information. It’s been of great help.

The cause has been found and they’re working on the fix. I can’t speak to how easy or soon it will be out as I’m not in the development loop but did get word back they were able to track it down with the help of everyone here.

Greatly appreciated all!

Thanks to the devs , 1.0.2 is out and fixes the issue. It’s working nicely on my Mini/10.8.5
