New Plex music features

I’ve been keeping a running list of new Plex music features that I’d love to see in the future and just thought I’d post it here. Let me know if you agree with any of these.

  • Revamped playlist system (ability to star songs in playlist view, sort by, filter/search, uninterrupted scrolling for larger playlists)
  • Ability to star songs in queue view (currently you have to click the song to see it in the album then star it there)
  • Playlist sharing (with other users on the server)
  • Daily/weekly mixes similar to Spotify (similar genres/artists grouped into separate mixes, functions basically the same as the existing artist radio feature)
  • See music in library that you don’t own (from Plex Music/MusicBrainz database)
  • Treat artists as individuals in cases where multiple artists collab (like MusicBrainz does, basically, adding a single by “Artist1 & Artist2 ft. Artist3” wouldn’t create 3 artists instead of 1)
