New update broke plex

Server Version#: 1.41.0.8992
Player Version#: All
<If providing server logs please do NOT turn on verbose logging, only debug logging should be enabled>

Since the most recent update, every hour almost on the hour my media becomes non-communicative on LAN and WAN, to myself and any other users who I’ve given access to my libraries. I have to manually close and restart plex media server on my pc.

I’m running windows 10 pro. Nothing hardware has changed, no windows updates, only difference is the media server version.

Can you provide server logs please.

Having a very similar issue here also … now I just get a:

" This site can’t be reached
10.0.0.228 refused to connect."

Error. I’ve tried uninstalling Plex and re-installing, same issue. I’ve attached the Plex Log which references a /tmp folder for minidump but I can’t find any such folder. I see the Crash Reports folder, but no files in them?

PlexCrashLogs.zip (4.5 KB)

One log says:
“Crashdump 8d72d384-02d1-4326-fb681783-e46d2dab not uploaded due to local rate limiting.” ?? What local rate limiting?

EDIT: This is on UnRaid 6.12.8

absolutely here you are.

I’ve also confirmed that it happens every ~8 minutes.

i think this is related to the hardware encoding im having the same issues

Don’t know if this helps anyone, but I resolved my issue:

  1. Unassigned Drive plug-in for Unraid seemed to have issue with two external HDD via USB, not sure exactly what, but after install it removed one of my Cache SSDs (no idea why) which just happened to have some unwritten Plex data on it at the time.
  2. Uninstalled Unassigned Drive plug-in.
  3. Reboot Unraid (all 3 SSD Cache drives re-appeared.
  4. Delete all my existing configuration folders used by Plex Media Server.
  5. Re-installed Plex with new claim key.
  6. Added my libraries back and removed old libraries.

All good again.

This might also be my issue. Plex just seems to refuse to load anything at random intervals.

It could be but it’s not trying to load shows. The libraries just stop being viewable at all, even through the media server itself. The settings page also stops loading too

Thanks I’ll give this a go and let you know. I just was wanting to avoid having to reinstall plex lol

I also have 2x 8TB HDDs in mirrored and I’m wondering if one of the drives is dying and could be causing the issue too?
