Plex media sever connection lost after few minutes

Server Version#: Latest 1.20.1.3213 and all previous 1.20 versions
Player Version#: all players: web, iphone m, apple tv and android tablet

I’m a plex pass fir years and a great fan of Plex.

since i have updated the plex server to version 1.20, the server starts ok but after a while no player can access the server. from the log it looks like the server is still on but no connection.

i have to restart the whole windows server to fix it until it goes off again.

i try uninstall, repair and lower version and i have the same issue.

Is your metadata on a UNC not local to your server with thumbnails? It looks like your server has trouble communicating with it’s database from time to time

Yes, The database is on a shared server folder on the same server.

Can you start the server, replicate the issue once, then grab those logs and upload?

sorry for the delay but i was off for few weeks and didn’t get access to the Plex Server Remotely.
I was able to replicate the issue several time this morning. i have finally rebooted the server and restart Plex Media Server to get the logs.

I hope they will be helpful.

One of the last reboot before it crashes was around 11.30am.

Let me know if you need anything else. I couldn’t extract the logs when the server was not accessible as it said some process was using the PMS log file even though I have exit it from the start bar tray.

Can anyone help??
I had rebooted the server and it was working ok for few days until I upgrade it this morning!
Since I have rebooted the whole server and still the same issue. I was able to watch a movie for 15min then the coney got lost!
It looks like the server is still running but I couldn’t connect to it!
I used safari, plex on iPhone, Apple TV no go! No connection!

I have a plex pass and I’ve been using Plex for nearly 6 years.
But I’m a bit disappointed at the moment and I can’t find the issue. It was working well before.
I might rethink my approach and maybe cancel my plex pass.

Your logs show the server is getting connection refused on the loopback address on port 32400. Do you have a firewall or security software installed? If so have you exempted plex media server.exe and or port 32400?
