New Windows Desktop Player, no pen support on Microsoft surface

Hi, the new Desktop Player for Windows is a huge step backward for Surface Users. on my surface go, the Player is almost unusable, because of the missing touch and pen support. I dont use a Mouse…
Please add touch and pen support.

Surface Pro 5 user here, and I’m seeing the same problem here. The pen worked (mostly) with the old app, and not at all with the new one. Please fix it.

Just keep using PMP, it’s not going anywhere.

I was going to say “yes it is”, but I see that the blog post has been amended since I read it. Nevertheless, I still get the impression that the new app is the preferred app and will be getting more attention going forward than the old app, so I’d prefer to use the new app: that being the case, the loss of Pen functionality, which I’m sure is an oversight rather than an intended change, will continue to be extremely frustrating whenever habit takes over and I try to use the Pen with the app. I’m sure I won’t be the only one.
