Whether it be a popup when first logging in or simply a small banner across the top of the screen, it would be very useful for multiple profiles using your plex library to see an optional news bulletin posted only by the person running the server.
You could customize the text and choose how long it runs for to notify people using your server about an updated quality of a movie or a new TV season added for example. This would be useful because sometimes things get added out of order or when there’s 2 movies and you have to choose “play version” you could explain that you added a 4K version or something even though this movie is 5 years old or whatever.
You could custom type anything of your choosing. This would make it easier for friends to understand your specific library; especially elderly who have a hard time with technology but want to stay up to date with the services Plex offers us.
Hope this makes sense as just an optional popup rather than something annoying thats always going to be on screen. Just displayed at login in then click “Got it” and continue browsing.
