So, we all know that starting today News moved to Free Live TV right? but this looks more like the “News” feature was killed today, all the local news content and LocalNow are gone, that’s was personalized and more useful than these live feeds, which have nothing to do with the user’s local area.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Plex, but why taking something from users when it should be more like an opt-in / opt-out feature?
I liked the fact that I could pick and choose the articles I was interested in. And I also liked the local news items. Live TV is not an option for me; I am not going to watch a live channel with the hope it will touch on a subject I am interested in. Then I may as well watch ordinary live TV, and I don’t do that either.
Thank you, exactly my point. I’m glad I’m not the only one that feels this way about this change.
I concur. This change of moving News to Live TV is a massive step backwards in flexibility and functionality.
I concur, the local news was the primary reason I used the news feature. You took it away. Why? Please bring it back!
Having to search for local content causes most people to go back to using OTA or even worse cable to find local news and weather. Having this on the home screen made me want to use PLex for everything. This change means Now I dont.

Agree. Plex arbitrarily killed on demand news which I regularly used. It wasn’t moved anywhere, just removed.
