I’m running Plex on a W10 computer, and streaming to a Windows Phone, iPad, iPod and a PS3. On all devices, Plex will not go to the next song in the album or playlist. There have been multiple posts about this going back years, but no workable solutions.
any progress on this, given even bloody Groove can play the next song in an album or playlist automatically regardless of tags??
No idea why as I didn’t do anything listed above, but its now playing albums properly. Now, if only I didn’t keep getting the “NoElements” fail on my windows phone . . .
I have had a couple of similar experiences. Here is how I fixed them:
- When listening to an album on a browser in my office, and I am switching to my Roku in the living room, I tell Plex to fling the content to the Roku. Switches flawlessly but it only plays that song. I have to manually start the next song. Solution - after I fling the album to Roku, I disconnect Roku from the web browser, which stops the song. In Roku, I restart the song and Plex works fine. Not sure why it acts that way but that was my solution. When streaming on my phone in the car and fling the content to the Roku when I get home, I do not seem to have that problem.
- After weeks of running my NAS and Plex, streaming hours of music, when Plex starts to act up, I restart Plex and all is fine.
