So I was told this is the best way to use GamePass to stream live games thru the PS4. Yeah right!

So after installing the app on PS4 and entering the 4 digit access code I’m informed I must pay £3.99 a month to use it on the PS4. Fair enough. Even thou other devices seem to be free. This is the only device I have linked to a TV, so fair enough.

So I have the PMS installed on my Windows 8.1 laptop, I’ve installed the NFL Channel and entered my GamePass username and password along with my favourite team and the fact I’m an International user. Instantly these changes show up thru my PS4. Great, all is well. It’s all working. This was 4 hours ago and I still haven’t seen a single video thru my PS4, or on the laptop.

I have followed every piece of information to the letter. I am no genius but I’m pretty tech savvy I think.

I’m not interested in using Plex for any other purpose than watching GamePass thru my PS4. I’s appreciate it very much if someone can help me get it set up for the start of the season tomorrow night.

My issues are :-

  1. Any video I try to play on the PS4 displays the 3 yellow dots for a minute then displays the message “There was a problem playing this item. The video did not start playing in time.” Now I came accross a youtube video of some guy telling me I can use plex for free on the PS4 by just signing in on the PS4s browser. And low and behold it works, perfectly! Quality is rubbish tho. So there is no issue with my connection or GamePass’s ability to be accessed thru Plex.

  2. Not really vital for my needs. But I cannot play videos thro the PMS on my laptop either. The video loads and I receive the message “Cannot load M3U8: crossdomain access denied”

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Technical info on what I’m using.

Windows 8.1 laptop using Firefox to access PMS (I’ve also tried Chrome with same results)

My internet is with BT. It plays online games perfectly and rarely has anything other than PS4, laptop & IPhone connected to it.

If I can’t get this resolved before tomorrow I’d really like to cancel and have my money refunded as it’s not meeting me needs.

Would really appreciate a fix before the season starts tonight.
Only reason I paid for a plex pass was to watch international game pass

Hi there. Try disabling Direct Play in the Settings \ Video menu below your user avatar in the PS4 app. Any change?

I’m confused too why you’d be able to use the Plex in the PS4 browser but you’re having trouble using Plex in your laptop browser. Have you tried Chrome vs Firefox?

Nope. Same problem after disabling direct play.
It’s weird too, because other channels (like WWE network) stream fine.

Other apps, that is. Not other channels.

It’s frustrating that I’ve paid £130 ($200) for GamePass + your fee + £300 for a PS4. Yet it seems this product is mostly setup for people downloading illegal copies of movies and paying absolutely nothing for your app on certain media.

Priorities, eh?

Who do I contact for a refund and to cancel my subscription? I’m always wary of ■■■■ on the internet. When I got netflix, I thought it was a con. But it worked. Idiot proof.

So, you can’t provide a solution? Seems a common theme on these forums given the amount of unanswered questions.

Why put a drone on the NFLUK forums if you are advertising a product that does not work?

You’re basically admitting that by offering the basic route of f all help to paying customers.

Help me to make it work. All I’m asking.

This is a joke… finally found a way to get my gamepass on tv instead of watching on the computer… But same here unable to watch any gamepass content on my PS4 so waste getting a subscription for PLEX… Is there no way you can get support on this except for contact information to where you can ask for refund? You must be interested in keeping us as customers??
