Great, Harley! Testing it asap - hope that the devs will chime in and help with the missing piece…!
Good work!
Thanks for the props MTI, but elan did most of it. I just provided the matching the right movie part.
NP!
Sadly, I can’t get the agent to show up in Info Provider Setting in MM.
I placed the bundle with all the other plugins in ~/L/AS/Plex Media Server/Plug-ins/
That is the correct way to do it, right?
So in other words, I have the same problem as BliBlaBlo…
Here is my com.plexapp.agents.xbmcnfo.log. Seems that are some problems with the code? :o
So when you guys choose IMDB, you don’t see things like wikipedia, amazon, and XBMC?
All of the ones you list and more but NOT XBMC - again, I think you’ll find the answer in the log that I attached in my previous post.
Hope, you can fix it
This is how it looks for me…
No XBMCnfo
So I cheked the syntax in TextMate. There was a unexpected indent before “pass” under “def search”.
I corrected that. Now the log indicates no problems, but the agent does still not show up in the Media Manager - it looks just like what BliBlaBlo just posted… :o
Sorry about that. I had to restart not only the Media Server but also the Plex client… After doing that, the agent shows up nicely.
Sadly, the next problem is that it gives an exception “Exception processing IMDB Result”. Looking into that…
Thanks for all the info y’all. I have to go to work, so I’ll give an update later this afternoon.
Yeah, this still doesn't pass results correctly. Can you post this log?
But it should parse the .nfo file and log the results, which in turn should be readable in the log, right?
I just did a clean Plex install (removed app support folders) - now I can't get the nfo agent to load despite doing what I described in my previous post. Very inconsistent... :o
ANy news here? I would kill for an working agent :)
Go ask the devs - they seem to not want to invest any of their precious time here…
Yo, I just got home from work. Can a brother catch a break?
Whether or not people believe that the devs deserve criticism in places for features left out of Nine, and you and I have had our talks about this privately and you know where I stand, this nfo agent is only possible this early because of work done by and help from elan and whomever helped him write the agent.
just an update folks. Still working on it, but since I am learning as I go, it’s slower then I would like. Won’t stop til I get enough.
update. I am able to store xbmc nfo info in the xbmcnfo.bundle, which is part of the new xml metadata convention. I just need to figure out how to make that part of _combined, and I am done.
it is putting the correct title into the _combine Info.xml, but for some reason pmm isn’t taking it.
heading to bed. I will rain down the hurt upon xbmc nfo files in the morning.
