No ac3 audio through headset on ps4 pro

I’ve started experiencing a weird issue with plex client on my ps4 pro yesterday evening.
Basically it will no longer pass through ac3 audio to my headset mixer via optical.
Ac3 plays fine via hdmi to the soundbar. It’s just the headset I’m having problems with. If I set the sound to Linear PCM on the ps4 I get sound. Just DD default settings no longer work with plex using the headset with ac3 tracks, DTS tracks play fine with default DD setting. I don’t want to have to keep switching system sound setting every time I want to watch something with the headset on. Has anything change Plex side that could cause this issue?
