No access to Plex Media Server over IPv6 DS-Lite-Tunnel

Server Version#: 1.19.3.2764
Player Version#:Web

I could not get remote access to the Plex Media Server over IPv6 (DS-Lite-Tunnel).
Let me explain the problem with DS-Lite-Tunnel:
When connecting over DS-Lite-Tunnel, then the IPv4 address of my provider will be also used by other customers of the provider.
I will also get a IPv6 adress. This address is reserved for me alone.
The problem could be solved by adding an Option: Force Remote access over IPv6 onlyplex_logs.rar|attachment (27.7 KB)

Plex doesn’t use IPv6 yet.
The server only partially supports IPv6 at this time.

When is the implementation of IPv6 complete? Do you have a date?

Engineering doesn’t publish dates.
Given the enormity of a full IPv6 support infrastructure, I do not see “Complete” status for some time.

Are you even trying to connect to your PMS FROM an IPv6 network? If e.g. your mobile phone provider still uses v4 you won’t be able to connect even with v6 support in plex.

Have a look in this thread for a longer discussion; it also has some suggestions for successfully utilizing IPv6 with Plex remote access. The particular comment I’ve linked is interesting in that it doesn’t require a customer certificate or domain. I’ve not tested this myself, however.
