Have a look in this thread for a longer discussion; it also has some suggestions for successfully utilizing IPv6 with Plex remote access. The particular comment I’ve linked is interesting in that it doesn’t require a customer certificate or domain. I’ve not tested this myself, however.

Custom domain and certificate not strictly necessary. You can use the dynamic DNS and certificate already provided by Plex. Plex generates a custom URL for your server in the plex.direct domain.
