I run a Plex server on my Qnap NAS, using local custom artwork.
When using Plex.tv/the web client/a web app like Synclounge/accessing and playing directly from the server the posters and artwork display just as you’d expect, no problems.
However, when using the Plex client apps on my Shield TV, Pixelbook, Pixel, or any other client (Roku, Xbox, etc.) the artwork is all blank.
I disabled everything I could think of that would block connections locally as suggested in:

and no joy.
I also tested using apps locally on my LAN, as well as from outside my network via my mobile data connection. Same result. If it’s a Plex client, not artwork is displayed.
I’m stumped at what to try next. Does using local artwork just not work correctly with Plex clients?
