No Commercial Skip button

Commercial skipping quit working on Win 32 bit server. Looks like there’s a 64bit I didn’t know about. I’ve installed it and I hope it fixes the problem. But, I still ended up with some shows with commercials. I’ve read the docs, with great directions to have it fix these shows.. but none of the “Advanced Settings” were there. So, I’ve used comskip directly to generate the EDL files…

Both my Roku and Win10 clients do not show a commercial skip button as the docs say they will. The EDL files are named the same as the video and are in the same directory.

What am I missing?

They are used when channels are removed or it is stored in the Database. We don’t have support for EDL files like that in folders. The EDL file is then discarded.

OK. How do I get the existing recordings with commercials to have the comms physically removed or have the skip ability?

if the default DVR settings is set to “detect and mark”, a similar setting will appear in the advanced library settings to enable this for the library, then you should be able to just analyze the file and it should add the markers.

Ah ok. I use the delete comm setting. Will Analyze remove the commercials too?
