They also haven’t been pushed, for some reason. At least the one from a couple of days ago. 5036 is all I am able to get.
Yes, I wondered that too ![]()
Google’s review process usually slows down around the holidays because their employees are out of the office. The beta that was released yesterday looks like it is available to all beta users so that slow down should be over now.
As other employees have mentioned in the past, beta releases that do not include release notes typically address unreleased features. However, for example, one of the recent betas without release notes added some logging to try to help us get to the bottom of a crash. We do not include release notes for every single little change we make.
Agreed, however there should be brief high level reference of what has changed. Something changed as you have pushed an update to beta! Saying nothing is not good enough. Some generic examples, 1) additional bug fixes, 2) performance changes or 3) additional code to facilitate new up coming features.
BTW… go look at what the dash or plexamp teams produce in their release notes. They are light years better.
Finally, after the whole debacle with the roll out of their social features and the privacy concerns many of us continue to have with plex, transparency should be foremost in the minds of every plex employee. Updates to clients with no information as to what changed will only add fuel to this situation.
