Since the latest app update in the new experience both my ipads (iPad pro 2nd gen and ipad air 2022) stopped direct playing 4k HDR content (causing stuttering in playback).
On the initial version(s) of the new mobile experience beginning of April this was working fine.
I also checked on the latest available Plex Preview in Testflight of the new mobile experience and there it’s still working fine.
