There is no option to sort Firefly by DVD order. The option is available for other shows, and I’ve seen other users reference turning that option on for this show. How do I make this option available?
If your library is set to use the Plex TV Series agent, you can override the default episode order for an individual show:
> Advanced > Episode ordering
Keep in mind this option is only available for the show record. If you’ve added a single season show, the recently added hub on your server‘s Home Screen will show a season record — not the show itself.

Firefly is a bit of a special case in that the airing order and the DVD order are not the same. But I don’t think changing the episode sorting (oldest or newest first) is helpful for this issue. Unless I am missing something.
That was the issue, it’s a single season and I was looking at season 1 instead of the show. When I found the show itself I was able to change it to DVD order. Thanks for the help!

Episode ordering refers to the various available episode sequences, e.g. TMDb [aired], TVDb (Aired), TVDb (DVD) and TVDb (Absolute) — it’s not about sorting the episodes from earliest to last airing.
Yes, I just looked again and see it now. I was looking at the wrong item :).
