I’m sorry for having to resort to this but I have tried everything I can read, look at videos, and search for. I cannot find the answer. I paid for life time membership and I’m ok with that, but I didn’t expect Plex not to work fairly easy. I first signed up for an account free. Then I paid for premium service got my shiny pass, setup plex cloud server on goggle. I sign in and go to settings server but there is no dvr to setup. I have tried this on Smart Vizio TV, Android on TV Box, Live TV with OTA antenna. Nothing shows a DVR setup anytime on anything. I would like for this to work but I cannot figure out what is wrong. Could I get some help.

There is no DVR/Live TV function with the cloud based server. There can’t be - Plex needs to be able to communicate with your TV tuner that you have connected to your antenna at your house, and there is no way for the cloud PMS to do that. If you want a DVR function or Live TV, you need to run a server at your house.
Those limitations are clearly laid out in the FAQ:

The simplest live TV solution
Just install a digital antenna, connect to your digital tuner, set up Plex Live TV and DVR, and start watching and recording content into your media library. Manage the recordings and scheduling in the familiar Plex interface. It’s so easy!
I guess I just don’t get it.
@slackker - What don’t you get? You are trying to use a Plex Cloud server to do something that cannot be done.
As @kegobeer-plex stated, DVR/Live TV does not work with a Plex Cloud server, you need to have a Plex server in your home where the TV tuner is.
Which part of that is still getting you confused? Many of us have it working and can help you get it working.
Thanks for the input. I’m not trying to use the server for live tv. When I use the plex app the instructions say go to settings then server and a dvr to scan tuner for channels. I have no dvr option to scan for channels.
This is my screen
First if that is a physical server in your house you are trying to configure you need to update to current Plex version. Version 1.2.0??? Current Plex version that will support Live TV on your physical server is 1.7.5. As previously mentioned Plex Cloud will not be able to see your tuner device on your home network.
The screen shots above are from my desktop logged into plex .tv.com from browser. The screen looks the same from Vizio Smart Tv Plex app, Android Plex app, Linux browser Plex.tv, or Kodi Plex addon, I have no DVR option to scan for Live TV for any tuner. OTA Cable or Internet.
This is what I thought I would have

As previously stated Plex Cloud will does not have Live TV. Not matter what client you try to view the Ple Cloud server on you will not find Live TV or DVR.
I don’t have it either:
But I do from my Plex Server installed in my house.
As you have seen from the video it states starting at the 30 second mark that it works with indoor or outdoor antennas, and shows supported tuner devices immediately after the antennas. Then at the 45 second mark it shows their server installed on their network called Plex DVR, not Plex Cloud, and shows adding the tuner device from the DVR settings.
So you must have:
- Antenna (OTA) or Cable TV Service
- Supported tuner device for the type of service you are using OTA or Cable
- Plex Server installed on a computer, NAS, or other supported hardware on your home network.
Ok, You have helped me and I thank you. I think I better just ask for a refund.
