Since I had to take my media system apart today, I've been having one issue after another. Now I'm dealing with this: Trailers is unavailable, yet I don't see anything wrong in terminal.
Here are my specs:
ATV3 software 6.0 (6646.65) OS 7.02 (11A502)
DNS 10.0.1.50
MacMini OS 10.9
PlexConnect local IP 10.0.1.50
PMS installed on same MacMini OS 10.9
PMS local IP 10.0.1.50
PMS version 1.2.24 under Plex/Web General (0.9.8.18 in "Check For Updates")
I just downloaded yesterday's version of PlexConnect
Settings.cfg and PlexConnect.log attached.
When I unplug the ATV3 to restart it, I get a port 53 is busy error, which makes me think Plex is just continuing to run in the background. In order to get rid of that, I have to reboot the MacMini.
>>When I unplug the ATV3 to restart it, I get a port 53 is busy error,
What is that? Where do you get this error?
Do you restart your aTV or PlexConnect?
How do you run PlexConnect? Did you "install" it as a daemon?
The error looks like this in terminal: "Failed to create socket on UDP port 53: [Errno 48] Address already in use"
I get this when I close out terminal, then run Plex by typing cd /Applications/PlexConnect and sudo ./PlexConnect.py. I think I was getting this because I wasn't shutting PlexConnect down correctly (control-C) before. Since doing so, I haven't gotten this error.
I'm not sure what it means to install a "daemon." I downloaded the zip file from github and dragged it in my Applications folder.
I also just realized that in my PMS under settings-->Plex Media Server-->MyPlex the "server is mapped to port 11500." Shouldn't this be port 32400? Is this an issue?
