I just got and set up a Hdhomerun DVR and was pleasantly surprised, on the web version, to see a grid layout just like a normal TV would have however when I went over to the Roku it doesn’t show a grid, it only shows the currently broadcasting channels and what’s on at that moment. Is this something that’s going to be added to the Roku version of the app soon? I also see no way to record from the Roku version, I know I can do this from the web interface but that kind of defeats the purpose doesn’t it?
That’s correct, the current, general release for roku does not include the grid guide or a way to set up a recording. HOWEVER…
Check out this area of the forums (confusing, everyone knows this except Plex employees) https://forums.plex.tv/tags/c/testing/player-betas/roku and in particular, this post: Try out our Roku preview channel
Sorry the late reply. I actually do have the preview channel installed too but hadn’t been in there for sometime and WOW, what a change! The live TV section is much improved for sure so for now we’re using this for TV and look forward to the grid view coming soon hopefully.
I really hope a grid view is developed soon for Roku. I miss the TV DVR function.
It’s available now in the latest release (as of yesterday or today).
I saw that, seems to be working fine. Thanks for the reply.

What I meant by grid view is a by channel grid view with guide. Maybe it is called something else.
Yes, we’re taking about the same thing. It’s the preview release, from the last 12-18 hours or so. See:
