No Hardware Acceleration for Recordings?

I’m not sure if this is a recent problem or has always been, but I just noticed my Plex server at 100% CPU. When I checked, no streams were active. No scanning. The only thing it was doing is recording one TV show – Law & Order. When I inspected Task Manager, Plex Transcoder and Commercial Skipper were at the top. I also checked GPU-Z and the GPU load was 0%.

My question is: Is there a way to enable Plex to use hardware acceleration for recordings? If that feature doesn’t exist, can we get it? :slight_smile:

EDIT: While I was writing this, a scan kicked on and then it started detecting an intro for an episode. Interestingly, THAT is using the GPU. But not the recording???
