The preview picture is only showing the first choice and doesn’t change when I move to another title. Nothing is highlighted when I move the cursor
Is this about the new player experience which is currently available for the mobile apps? I don’t think there’s any cursor moving in those, is there?
Yeah, this is the preview app. I installed it on my TV since it’s also for the TV experience.

You might be able to sideload and run the app, but, as stated in the release notes, it is meant for mobile devices.
Currently this Preview is available for testing on mobile, with TV platforms coming very soon!
Oh, well the apk is literally named tv.plex.app so easy mistake…
