No longer able to see played podcast episodes on the Show page under episodes

The last few updates seem to have removed the ability to see which episodes have been played from a podcast show. The mobile apps are fine but not the web.
Going to Podcasts and then show, has a count on the top with how many episodes are unplayed but when you go to Show All Episodes, there is no visual to tell you if the episode was played or not.
Only way is to go through each individual episode and look at the logo if it has an orange, upper right corner or right click on individual episode, in the list, on the right and seeing if it says Mark as Played or Unplayed.
Is there any plan to bring those visuals back in future releases?

Known issue. I do not have an eta for a fix.

Is there an ETA now or just an update? Thanks!

I’m still having this issue. Seems Plex keeps adding more features and causing problems with the ones that have worked solid for years. Getting really frustrated that after I paid for a Plex Pass what I bought it for only worked properly for a few months before they started breaking the features that have been around for years. Looks like I have to switch away from Plex for Podcasts just like I did with Plex Photos (which was the entire reason I purchased a subscription). Not sure what the development team at Plex has been up to lately, but hopefully this company gets it together again soon… :frowning:

I’m experiencing the exact same issue as solitary, even with latest update.

Podcasts no longer showing their played status when viewing the list of episodes.
Used to show an orange dot next to unplayed ones, but no longer. When selecting an episode it still shows the watch status in that screen.

The unplayed status appears perfectly when looking at the entire Podcast from a mobile device.

Server Version#: 1.22.0.4163
Player Version#: 4.51.3

This has become very frustrating and makes me hesitant to buy a Plex Pass.

Same issue here. For a while this was only happening in Server but now the problem has spread to the Player as well.

Another thing to add on, that I believe is caused by this is when syncing podcasts to my phone.
If i go to the show and press on download and choose any of the “Unplayed episode” options the app has no clue what to sync. If it is a new podcast then you’d be fine cause it will download the first 1 - 5 episodes but if it is an existing one, or the new one after a few episodes, you’ll find out that the sync no longed works and no new episodes get downloaded.

I do not understand why this is not a priority to resolve. Maybe not many people use Plex for podcasts.

Hi there Plex employee? Might we ever get a fix for the issues plaguing Podcasts? Not trying to be flippant with you. I appreciate all your team does, but I can’t even add podcasts now, just get an error every time. Artwork doesn’t load at random, when I mark a podcast as played often they go into negative counts for some reason. All this is super frustrating, and it’s been since November of last year when you originally posted. I am hoping at least SOME of these issues are tied together in fixing.

The issue originally reported that I responded to was about the watched status counter going missing. That’s been fixed. If you are having other issues, I’ll need more details.

I can give you any details you would like and am happy to do so. I apologize for posting something not fully related, but I am just trying to get anyone at Plex to notice all the issues plaguing Podcasts. I posted here with more details:

I am also happy to give any further information needed.

I replied to that thread about the poster. Can you make another post regarding the negative counts with some screenshots? I’ll see if I can help. I do have an idea on that though.

When I select a podcast, the words “See All” appear near the bottom of the screen. When I click on those words, PLEX reboots.

Can you provide a screenshot? I don’t see a “See All” option. For me, all the episodes are already listed.
