I am running a Plex server on a Win10 PC and all runs pretty well except it bugs me that the “Play Theme Music” option never seems to work. I can check the theme music box and save it, but no change, then later I find it is unchecked again. Also, the Plex experience on the PS3 seems pretty bland visually and I can’t remember the last time I have ever seen an update on the PS3 for Plex. Let me know if I am doing something wrong. Thanks!
I’m not exactly sure how to help and explain the theme music but I can help the update for the PS3.
The PS3 Plex app only updates internally rather than globally. Meaning. The actual app you click on to go into plex (Platform app) doesn’t get updated that often. When you open Plex and it’s loading, at the bottom right it should/might display a version number. That’s the internal part (internal app) of plex that gets updated.
The internal app to plex gets updated far more often than that platform app. The internal update will happen without you knowing and it will not let you know there’s an update. The platform update will let you know in the sony store or in notifications.
