No updates for plex on FreeNAS 11.3

Plex is saying there is an update available (1.18.8.2527) but the lastest version available on FreeNAS is 1.18.2.2058.

Anyone else showing a newer release in their plugin store?
Freenas has always been a bit behind on releasing updates but I feel like I have been on this version for a while. Is there known compatibility issues with all newer versions that they felt it was unnecessary to release the upgrade?

To be fair the only real issue I have is when I add new media PMS won’t auto detect it and I have to manually scan the library.

I’m having the exact same ‘problem’. Wondering if our installations are stuck in the update. I updated the jails to 11.3-RELEASE-p7 as well.

Afaik, this has something to do with the update cycle on these plugins. They are only updated quarterly.

Very annyoing. How can you create a IO cage manually that can update whenever Plex Media Server has a new update? This I would like to know.

There are threads on the FreeNAS forums on how to do this.

It’s even weirder than that though the latest plugin is 1.19.3.2843 (plexpass and normal) i’m stuck on 1.18.3.2129 (released over 5 months ago) no matter what I do it refuses to upgrade or recognise there is one.

The moment i try to update the plug-in it runs through some checks says there’s none and then the whole thing goes down and I have to rollback to a snapshot so it’s something bigger here.
