No Write Access?

Server Version#: 1.15.6.1079
Player Version#: 3.95.2

I run plex on Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS and have been getting issues with my DVR saying there is no write access to the drive (mounted external harddrive with create and delete files for the owner, group, and others.

I tried making a custom override to change the user and group that Plex runs in but when I do that plex will no longer run unless I delete the override (I stopped plex, did the Daemon-reload, made the override, daemon reload then started plex) and restarted. Any ideas on how to get write access working on my external harddrive?

This will show you how to setup your permissions (once)
and then use those settings to self-perpetuate

Also, be advised, if it’s mounted under /media, you have additional issues. Moving to a different mount point has a profound effect since Nautilus claims /media

Yes it is mounted under media… Do you have a, guide for switching where it is mounted?
