Hi
I have been using plex for quite a while and have no problem accessing files and playing with permissions. However I have now started playing with the DVR function and I canot get Plex to record due to No write access to destination.
Ubuntu 17.04, PMS 1.10.1.4602
DVR folder will be on external hdd called 2tbDVR in /mnt/DVR2tb/DVR (yes hard drive is a different name to mount point)
/mnt/DVR2tb/DVR ls -lah returns drwxrwxr-x 1 ben ben
My media on external drives are auto mounted in fstab with these permissions: nosuid,nodev,nofail,x-gvfs-show,users,uid=1000,gid=1000,dmask=002,fmask=113,nobootwait
Can someone please steer me in the right direction in regards to write permissions for Plex as it already reads fine.
Try changing ownership of the DVR folder to plex:plex or you can try adding plex to the ben group.
Thankyou so much. It was the folder ownership.
How in the heck do you find the DVR folder? I cannot find mine anywhere!
It would be the folder you specified when you configured the library.
