I finally after a couple years got an email promo for a lifetime code for $75,
I’m like cool, I’ve been thinking of joining plex pass, and I just got a new Hauppauge quad tuner, but I’m using MCE on a couple of machines and I’m somewhat happy with it, especially when using MCEBuddy, combined with plex basic, so before I make the switch, I look to see if there are any free trial codes anywhere to test drive the DVR functions. I find one for a free month to check it out, and after a day or two, I’m like ok, it kinda works, this is cool, so I go to redeem my code and I get this… This promotional code is valid only for new, monthly Plex Pass subscriptions and cannot be applied to existing subscriptions or as credit for yearly or lifetime plans.
Mine was a free 30-day trial, I never even attached a payment to it. So since I did the free trial for no joking, 2 days, I can no longer get the lifetime at the price quoted? Not sure I understand plex’s fear of letting people test drive features before they buy something. I get that it’s a promo to draw new Pass users, and it worked in my case, as that was the reason I tried it out, but seriously?
Listen, If may be honest, the plex DVR didn’t work all that great for me, and the program guide is downright lacking and failed to recognize about a dozen OTA subchannels, but after years of hard work on plex’s part, and me being thankful for the great software that I use, no kidding, every single day, I was gonna join anyway and just hope the DVR and program guide gets better. BUT… if I can’t redeem my code that was sent to me just 72 hours ago. I’m gonna have to take a pass on the pass.

You’re showing as a monthly PlexPass holder. The code was specific to new subscriptions.
I need ask the billing folks when your monthly Pass was activated to see if anything can be done (e.g. less than 24 hours ago they might do) but if you know when you activated your PlexPass, that will help me direct you better to the right folks the first time
@ChuckPA - It has been less than a month for me and I tried locating the code. Is it possible for me to get the discounted rate now? If yes, Who can I speak to and what is his/her contact info?
Thank you in advance for your time and assistance.
Plex doesn’t give out extensions or re-issue any coupons. Once an offer period has expired, it’s expired unless there is documentation to show it was Plex’s fault (in which case they’ll make it right immediately)
They fixed it by canceling my trial account and then I was able to rejoin with the code. I had joined 48 hrs before I posted this.
Keep in mind, I was not trying to game the system or anything, I really just wanted to check out the DVR before pulling the trigger.

Thanks for the follow-up.
What a great result, answers or the nay Sayers about Plex inc being not reasonable and understanding. Just a great result, happy Plexing.
