Error when trying to redeem the promotion code received for a lifetime pass

I just received a promotion code to get a Plex lifetime pass but I get an error when trying to redeem it.
Am I the only one?

I received a promotion code for a lifetime pass but when I try to apply it, it says

" Congratulations!
The promo/gift code you’ve entered gets you a FREE Lifetime Plex Pass. In the words of Ice Cube, today was a good day!"

And a Price of $0.00, but still says a total of $199.99 and doesn’t let me confirm. Did you have a similar issue? I can’t figure out how to redeem it.

I really hope your reply is a troll… Otherwise, your Plex account has likely been compromised, and I would change my password ASAP if I was you…

It’s not, it’s a serious question. It’s highly unlikely for it to be compromised, it’s just when I enter the gift, Price goes to $0 but the total remains unchanged. The Plex checkout even says 100% off of $119.99. So I’m guessing you have no input on that.

I don’t… That Ice Cube message just sounds very “Un-Plex” like hehe… I am guessing you may have won one of the giveaways?

Was a gift code someone gave you? I’m not aware of any current promos, unless you maybe won one of the 10 days of Plexivus from Facebook. (the PLEX4LIFE promotion was over Nov 22nd)

It was a gift someone gave me and I confirmed they did pay and send it. So I’ll reach out to billing over it. Thanks!

Update: The billing department worked with me to ultimately determine I was encountering an unexpected bug. They provided a quick-fix workaround solution for me while they work on rolling out a patch for the problem. With that, my Plex Pass gift code worked and I now have a lifetime pass. Always frustrating when you’re the case that finds a new bug, but the Plex crew was great about getting me fixed up.
