Would be great if PLEX would be able to detect on a NETWORK PATH new stuff (movies, shows are any other). Changing the disk is not an option.
Detect every X hour is not an option too
Hard to think this is impossible to put in a LOG file or something like it.

Neither iNotify (Linux way of monitoring a file path) nor Windows API supports remote network mapping/mounts
Plex can not go beyond what the underlaying OS can do with regards to this
All I can suggest is a Cron Job/Scheduled Task to trigger a refresh of your Libraries
With above, and despite the fact that it would be nice and something we all would like, I am closing this so nobody waste their votes
