Not familiar with SQLite

We have a customer that would like to integrate into Plex. We don’t have any details as to what they want to integrate, but I see that Plex uses SQLite.

  1. What are the major differences between SQL and SQLite?
  2. Can Plex import files and if so, can this be automated? For instance can you place a file at a specific location and Plex can be set up to automatically retrieve the file.?
  3. Does Plex allow an API?

  2. You can specify “libraries” in plex for instance a Movies library which is a path on a PC, any new files added to that path Plex will see and add to the library.
  3. Plex does have an API
