Not working on atv3

This is my first time using Plex so i´m probably doing it wrong...I have followed all these steps to put plex into a not jailbreaken device and i don´t get an error code or something like that, but when i look on the ATV3 and push trailer it just..plays the trailer, It looks just like before. What am I missing??

And sorry i´m new to this and my english isn´t the best so be nice :)

Did you change your ATV dns from auto to manual to point at your plexconnect host? Use this to post your error.

Well, i don´t have something called plexconnect. Just plex media server. It´s the only one i found so I thought it was the same. But...it isn´t?

No, not the same.

Plex Media server is - yeah - the media server.

PlexConnect is a "little tool" to allow your aTV interfacing PMS. See WIKI on how to install/use.

Okey, i have installed Plexconnect and followed the steps in the wiki.(Followed this one https://github.com/iBaa/PlexConnect/wiki/Install-Guide-Windows)

But it still wont work, When i put the DNSserver on the atv it doesn´t show it right. It should be .00 on the end but it´s just .0 at the end. I´m going crazy soon.

is this the right thing i am posting now...?

Oh sorry, I see now that notepad says IP_self: 192.168.1.80. In Cmd i saw IP_self: 192.168.1.00 . And the appletv would´nt take the last part. But i was wrong, but i´ve put in the right now but when i push trailer it says "trailer is unavailable, try again later" And i´m out of ideas now :(

as always... loglevel=High and logs...

That´s what i did, it says

loglevel = High in settings.cfg.

And the log is the same as the one before..

Still dont work though.

Is that the log or the output of the cmd window? They are 2 different things.

Is that the log or the output of the cmd window? They are 2 different things.

I have no idea. It´s the thing in the plexconnect.log

It feels like i´m missing something but i have no idea! I´m usually good at this stuff but this is making me feel like a 3 year old.

I have installed Python 2.7

taken home Plexconnect and extracted it to my program x86.And to here it feels right because i have the files and all.

I took iphone configuration and connected my apple tv to the computer and installed the certifikate. I layed it in truster rootcertifikate and tryed to let windows do it automatically.

I´ve put in the Ip_self in DNSserver on Atv3. But it won´t work anyway.

What am i missing? The log is still the same..

The log we are looking for a file inside the PlexConnect directory - called PlexConnect.log. With loglevel=High, it should show way more content.

Hi mate,

Is your PlexConnect detecting your PMS? If not, try installing PlexConnect 0.2 (I had this problem and going back to 0.2 auto detected my PMS. Manually specifying my PMS IP in settings.cfg didn't help either for me). Also, if you are using any firewalls, make sure you allow all traffic for PlexConnect (Again, this was another issue I had and took me ages to figure this out!). There are a number of ports that are required for various activities so if you have an interactive or learning mode on your firewall, this is probably your best option.

Good luck!

Hmm, I uninstalled everything and started over, same problem but another log.

hi!

What do you mean with the first question? How can I see that?
Yes, I maked rules for everything with plex and python so it would go through :)

Did you get the certificate installed on the appletv?

Should show up under settings>profiles.

If it doesn't, try adding it back using http://your self ip address/trailers.cer
